Nevada first time home buyer grants and loan programs - The Nevada Housing Division (NHD) offers programs for first time home buyers.
The NHD First Time Homebuyer Program offers low and moderate income first time home buyers below-market fixed interest rate 30 and 40 year home loans/mortgages with additional assistance available for downpayment and closing costs.
A first time home buyer is considered someone who has not owned or co-owned a primary residence within the past three years. If the buyer is purchasing a home in a "targeted" area, there are no restrictions on former home ownership. The buyer's total gross household income must fall within the maximum income limits set by the NHD.
