Maryland First Time Home Buyer Grants and Loan Programs

Maryland first time home buyer grants and loan programs - The Maryland Community Development Administration (DHCD) offers programs for first time home buyers.

The More House 4 Less program offers eligible buyers home loans/mortgages with low, fixed interest rates and are available with downpayment and closing cost assistance. The program is available for owner occupants only (not real estate investors).

The program is available to first time home buyers or non-first time home buyer that purchase a home in "targeted" areas in MD. Borrowers purchasing in an area that is not designated as "targeted" must meet the definition of a first time home buyer (a buyer that has not owned a principal residence in the last three years).

The program's home loans/mortgages are available through a statewide network of participating lenders. Buyers must contact a mortgage lender from list of approved lenders, which is located on the More House 4 Less website.
