Georgia first time home buyer grants and loan programs - The Georgia Department of Community Affairs offers the Georgia Dream Homeownership Program.

This program makes purchasing a home more affordable for low to moderate income families and individuals. The program offers fixed, low interest rate home loans/mortgages. Also, the Georgia Dream Homeownership Program offers downpayment and closing costs assistance to eligible borrowers, which can greatly reduce the out of pocket expenses of the buyer.

The program is available to qualified borrowers statewide that meet certain income requirements and are purchasing homes within certain purchase price limits. In addition, eligble buyers must have modest assets and meet the flexible credit underwriting criteria for the home loan/mortgage program they select.
